Greve's business life is characterised by many small and medium sized companies. Locally based businesses are mostly found in industries such as wholesaling, construction, transport & logistics, real estate and IT services. Moreover, the local business service sector is showing strong growth in areas such as cleaning, catering etc., while consultancy services are also showing good growth and now cover 12 per cent of local businesses. Finally, a number of locally based companies are operating within small markets, including creative graphics, electronics and metal production.
The future business profile of Greve municipality will be influenced by its location close to the Greater Copenhagen Region. Greve municipality is working towards enabling local businesses to capitalise on the Greater Copenhagen Region's markets within wholesale, business services and consultancy. We are also actively attracting larger enterprises by offering competitive prices on spacious development sites which can accommodate large warehousing facilities, good access roads and easy access to qualified personnel from Copenhagen, Roskilde and the Køge Bay area.
Greve municipality is currently building a number of new residential areas. Attractively located close to the sea, they will be of a high standard. Such initiatives are aimed at attracting young, well-educated families to Greve and hence will make the municipality an attractive place for businesses.
